BOHORODCZANY BRANCH General Information |
The members of this branch were
descendants of Wolf Turteltaub, born in Bohorodczany, Galizia on 1867. The family later
moved to Dornbirn. All members of the branch were murdered during the war. The
history of the branch was reconstructed in great detail by Martin Achrainer and Niko
Hofinger with the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thomas Albrich from the Institut für
Zeitgeschichte at the University of Innsbruck. All the information was provided by the
always helpful Niko Hofinger. The group has also produced some papers which, using the Turteltaub family as an example, show what happened to the Jews in Austria. One of those papers is shown in this site. |
